SMART Goal Assistant

Writing truly meaningful, measurable goals has never been easier than when using our SMART Goal Assistant. Navigate to the Goals tab from any patient profile and +Add Goal. Select a skill area from any area of medical speech pathology from the drop-down list, then launch the SMART Goal Assistant by pressing the green button. Follow the 6 easy steps in the sequence to build a SMART goal.

  1. WHY: Select a functional, long-term goal the patient wants to work towards.
  2. WHAT: Select a short-term goal that will bring the patient closer to achieving the chosen long-term goal.
  3. HOW: Select the conditions in which the patient will work towards the short-term goal (e.g. type of support, environment, time pressure, etc.).
  4. HOW WELL: Select how performance will be measured (e.g. accuracy, intelligibility, score on a selected rating scale, etc.)
  5. WHEN: Select when the patient is expected to meet this goal (e.g. number of sessions, by a specific date, etc.)
  6. EDIT: Edit the goal and save it to the patient's profile.

The goal will be marked as In Progress until you change the status to Achieved. You can duplicate and edit goals when they need to be updated to easily monitor progress over time.
