How to Clear Your Browser Cache

If something isn’t loading correctly, looks outdated, or behaves oddly, clearing your browser cache can often fix the issue. Your cache stores temporary files to help pages load faster, but sometimes those saved files cause problems.

Follow the steps below for your browser.

  1. Open Chrome.
  2. Click the three dots (⋮) in the top-right corner.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Click Privacy and security.
  5. Choose Clear browsing data.
  6. Select a Time Range.
  7. Check Cached images and files

(You can leave other boxes unchecked if you want.)

  8. Click Clear data.
  9. Close and reopen Chrome.

Safari (Mac)

  1. Open Safari.
  2. Click Safari in the top menu.
  3. Select Settings (or Preferences on older versions).
  4. Go to the Privacy tab.
  5. Click Manage Website Data.
  6. Select Remove All.
  7. Click Remove Now.
  8. Quit and reopen Safari.

Tip: Try refreshing the page after reopening.

Microsoft Edge (Windows & Mac)

  1. Open Edge.
  2. Click the three dots (⋯) in the top-right corner.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Click Privacy, search, and services.
  5. Under Clear browsing data, click Choose what to clear.
  6. Set Time range.
  7. Check Cached images and files.
  8. Click Clear now.
  9. Restart Edge.

Mozilla Firefox (Windows & Mac)

  1. Open Firefox.
  2. Click the three horizontal lines (☰) in the top-right corner.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Click Privacy & Security.
  5. Scroll to Cookies and Site Data.
  6. Click Clear Data.
  7. Check Cached Web Content.
  8. Click Clear.
  9. Close and reopen Firefox.
