Homework

Homework is so important to neuroplastic recovery for patients. Homework using technology can give patients the intensity of practice they need to improve. That's why we offer FREE homework for your patients. Cost should not be a barrier to recovery.

You can assign up to 6 treatments for unlimited use to any patient on your active caseload. Here's how:

1. Go to the patient's profile and click on Homework. You'll see all the treatments available for homework. To ensure the patient knows what to do and that the treatment is appropriate, treatments available for homework must be:
   • in the Treatment Plan
   • used at least once
2. Click +Add to add a treatment to the homework. Click -Remove to get rid of one. You can add up to 6 treatments at a time to give a good variety of exercises without being overwhelming.
3. Click the Assign button to add the patient's email address after getting verbal consent.
4. Add an optional message. This message will appear on the main screen of the Virtual Rehab Center when the patient logs in. The message will be saved for you to edit or add between updates. This space can be used for:
   • recommended practice time
   • general encouragement
   • reminders about strategies
   • notes about what has changed
   • other things to do for homework outside the VRC treatments

That's it! Now we'll send an email to the patient that looks like this:

The patient will need to click the button or link. They will then be asked to create a password and agree to the Terms & Conditions on a page that looks like this:

The email address you entered will be their login. They can change this email address at any time by logging in and going to the Account page. They will NOT be asked for any payment information because homework is free for them!

Updating Homework

When you change the Homework Plan, you will select Update, which will send an email to your patient letting them know the plan has been changed. No details of what has changed will be sent through email to keep information private. The email will go to the latest email address on file in their account.

What Your Patients See

When your patients log in, they will see a similar interface to yours, but simplified. They will see only the treatments you've assigned on the front page under the message from you. They can access their History, Help, and Account from the side menu.

Homework Availability

Homework is available at NO CHARGE to up to 10 of your patients as long as:

1. You remain a member of the Virtual Rehab Center
2. Your patient remains on your Active caseload
3. There are treatments in their Homework Plan

Extra homework seats may be purchased as a separate monthly charge (coming soon).
