Group License FAQs
Curious about how group licenses work? You're in the right place!
Q. How is a group license different from an individual clinician membership?
A. A group license allows an organization to pay a single annual subscription for multiple clinicians. Each clinician has access to the Virtual Rehab Center like an individual subscriber along with additional benefits, including:
- Shared patient access within the organization (perfect for coverage)
- A designated manager to add or remove clinicians and track usage
- Pooled homework seats across the organization (so outpatient clinicians can use more than inpatient clinicians instead of each clinician having a set number)
In the future, group plans will also support multiple sites and the ability to transfer patients between locations.
Q. Is there a discount if I sign up as a group?
A. Yes, discounts start at just 2 users! The more licenses you buy, the greater the discount. Discounts start at 5% for 2-4 users and go up to 50% for the largest organizations. And because group plans are paid annually, you'll start with our lowest price and save more from there.
Q. How do I get a quote or sign up for a group license?
A. Email us at vrcsupport@tactustherapy.com to let us know how many clinician licenses your organization needs. We'll schedule a time to discuss your specific needs to ensure we provide an accurate quote for your team.
Q. How can I pay for a group license?
A. After a quote is generated, you can choose to pay the quote directly with a credit card, or you can generate an invoice to submit to your employer or accounts payable department. You can link a purchase order to the invoice.
All group plans are billed annually. (Ask us about multi-year plans.)
Q. I have PRN/casual employees and part-time employees. Do I need to purchase a full license for each SLP?

Q. What about SLPAs or volunteers? Can they have access too?
A. Often the homework accounts work well for rehab assistants, therapy assistants, or volunteers. Instead of using a clinician license that can alter plans and assign homework, these team members can log in through the patient's homework portal to assist patients with their homework that has been assigned and updated by their SLP.
Q. What happens if a clinician goes on leave or no longer works for my organization?
A. No problem! It's easy for the organization manager to put a license on hold, freeing up a spot for the clinician covering the leave. If someone no longer works at the organization, their license can be removed and assigned to a new staff member.
Q. Can I add more clinicians to my group after I sign up?
A. Yes! If you need to add more clinicians, please contact us at vrcsupport@tactustherpy.com to adjust your plan.
Q. How many homework seats does each clinician get?
A. Group licenses come with pooled homework seats, allowing 10 homework seats per license to be shared across your organization. If you need additional homework seats, contact us at vrcsupport@tactustherpy.com and we'll work with you to adjust your plan.
Q. How does shared patient access work? Can I see who saw my patient?
A. Clinicians within a site can access all patients for easy coverage. A search bar allows quick patient lookup, and clinicians covering a patient can access their goals, treatment plans, and history. Clinicians can also see which clinician treated a patient in the Virtual Rehab Center.
Q. I currently have an individual subscription. Can I switch my membership to a group plan?
A. Yes! We’d be happy to help adjust your plan and transfer patient accounts. Contact us at vrcsupport@tactustherapy.com, and we’ll work on getting you set up.
Q. I have a small private practice, and I work for a larger organization. Can I have BOTH an individual membership and a group membership?
A: Yes! In this case, you would have two separate accounts—one for your private practice (which you pay for) and another under the group plan for your organization (covered by your organization).
